Suspects in Chik-Fil-A pickpocket theft have been arrested

Two people suspected of committing a pickpocket theft at Chik-Fil-A, 21 Horizon Boulevard in Trevose, last Wednesday have been identified and arrested, according to the Bensalem Police Department.

Police identified the suspects as New Jersey resident Michael Grantham, 48, and Philadelphia resident Mary Ramirez, 41.

According to video surveillance, Ramirez sat at a table behind a mother and her children. Grantham then positioned himself directly behind the victim and lifted the wallet from her purse, which was hanging from the back of the victim’s chair.

Bensalem Police said the suspects made approximately $1,600 worth of purchases at Target, 800 Rockhill Drive in Bensalem, buying four $400 Visa gift cards and snacks. They attempted additional purchases at a Target in Philadelphia, but those were declined.

Grantham is in Camden County Prison on $75,000 bail awaiting extradition and Ramirez in in Bucks County Prision in lieu of 10 percent of $75,000 bail.
